MEET TEAM NOAH
Dr. Lynn Stevenson
Dr. Stevenson received a Master’s degree in Philosophical Ethics followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Since then, she has practiced veterinary medicine at hospitals in Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. In 2018, Dr. Stevenson decided to build Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital so she could offer the highest quality Fear Free medicine to the homeless animals in the community as well as those already in loving homes.
Dr. Stevenson loves veterinary medicine because there is always something new to learn. She has advanced training in ultrasonography and echocardiography. She just recently became a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist and is now studying Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She also has a special fondness for working with rescue groups and homeless patients.
Dr. Stevenson is supported by her husband, Paul Burges, a very talented musician, artist and jack of all trades around the hospital. If you see something new in the hospital, Paul probably made it. They share their home with 7 mixed breed rescue dogs of various sizes. When Dr. Stevenson's not at the hospital, she may be hiking with Paul and the dogs, kayaking, playing guitar or reading.

Not only do we get his unique experience and vast knowledge of species ranging from small animals to exotics to zoological animals, but he is a rare breed and a delight to work with. He is very appreciative, always motivates the employees, and inspires our inquisitive natures by openly inviting questions and never missing an opportunity to teach the staff new things.
His favorite patients include Capuchin monkeys, parrots, giraffes, lemurs, sloths, elk, cougars, and gorillas.

Veterinary Assistant and Groomer
Ciara was born in Warsaw, NY, but quickly fell in love with Georgia when her parents purchased a home in Blairsville in 1995. In 2005 she permanently put down roots in Blairsville, and she doesn’t ever plan to leave. The youngest of four children with a large age gap, Ciara learned to find the most joy and companionship in animals.
With four years experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Ciara is our resident cat whisperer and groomer as well. While cats tend to be first to steal her heart, she's perfectly content to cuddle with the pooches as well. She has several cats that call her Mom, and she is the proud parent of the now famous kittens, Little Girl Nottely and Mulligan. She also brings our resident mascot, Noah home at night so he maintains his fabulous social life.
Hannah was born and raised in Hiawassee, Georgia. She has had cats since a very young age and had 5 Miniature Pinschers growing up. Hannah always knew that she wanted to work with animals and be a voice for them. Hannah comes to NOAH with three years experience in the field and tends to have a soft side for cats. She surprised her family one day when she brought home, Carmen, a sweet, loving Hound mix who needed a forever home. Hannah currently has several cats and two dogs, Gwen, a 15 year old mix, and Kiana, a 1 year old Siberian Husky. She is currently enrolled at San Juan College and plans on getting her degree in Veterinary Technology, specializing in internal medicine.
Christina was born in Chesapeake, Virginia, but her family moved back to Blairsville when she was five. She grew up in her father's childhood home surrounded by national forest and all the beauty the North Georgia mountains offer. From a very young age she knew that animals were in her future. She especially loves rabbits and has kept them on and off since childhood.
Christina worked a few different jobs before landing at NOAH, but her experience as a receptionist and manager helped her transition smoothly into the world of veterinary care. She feels being at NOAH has fulfilled her lifelong dream of working with animals, and she has immensely enjoyed expanding her knowledge and skills under the guidance of Dr. Stevenson and the entire team.
When Christina isn't at work, she is spending time with her husband, Casey, their two dogs Holo and Lollie, and their rescue cat Dorian. Her interests include reading, gaming, traveling, drawing, and anything creatively inspired.

Within the year she was hired as a CSR and she LOVES HER JOB!!!
